Hit single gets acoustic treatment in new video
Twenty-six time No. 1 hit-maker Blake Shelton looks to add another to that total with his “lusciously romantic” (MusicRow) smash duet “Nobody But You” with Gwen Stefani. The single took only ten weeks to reach Top 10, and it continues to climb at country radio as its streaming numbers rise past 60 million. “Nobody But You” is the second single from his recently released chart-topping collection Fully Loaded: God’s Country, which is in its 14th consecutive week within the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums.
“I’m really excited about this one reaching Top 10,” Shelton shares. “Not only is ‘Nobody But You’ one of the most special songs I’ve ever released, but it feels especially poignant in this environment. I’m thankful and humbled to know that my songs might be providing comfort and maybe a little bit of a diversion.”
Shelton treated fans to a special acoustic version of the song on Friday. In the spirit of celebrating home and loved ones, he and Stefani released an accompanying video of them singing together while enjoying the Oklahoma outdoors. The two first performed the song live on the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards in January.
Fully Loaded: God’s Country holds the title of third biggest debut-week sales total for a country album in 2019. Its title track and CMA Single of the Year winner “God’s Country” was the second most-streamed country song released in 2019. The mega-hit became Shelton’s 26th No. 1 on country radio, where it remained for a multi-week run, in addition to his 16th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Following back-to-back sold-out weekends, Shelton announced last week that he would postpone the final five dates of his headlining tour amid global health concerns.
