Joe Claussell Reworks Emanuele Cisi’s ‘Pharoah’s Message’

Out now via Right Tempo, Joe Claussell has revisited Emanuele Cisi’s ‘Pharoah’s Message,’ transforming the composition into a new collection of Sacred Rhythm remixes. Originally featured on Cisi’s album ‘Rushin,’ the piece draws inspiration from the spiritual and modal traditions associated with jazz icons such as Pharoah Sanders and John Coltrane.

For this remix project, Claussell deconstructs the original recording and rebuilds it across a series of extended interpretations. These versions masterfully combine live instrumentation, intricate percussion, and dancefloor-focused rhythms, bridging the gap between jazz, Afrocentric rhythmic traditions, and house music.

The release includes ‘Joaquin Joe Claussell’s Sacred Rhythm Epic Journey’ and ‘Joaquin Sacred Arts Drummers Cosmic Dub.’ Additionally, a forthcoming one-sided 12-inch edition will introduce ‘Joaquin Joe Claussell’s Alternate Sacred Rhythm Version.’ By expanding on the themes introduced in ‘Rushin,’ Claussell opens the composition to new listening environments through his long-running Sacred Rhythm vision.
