Despite the fact that several of his Full House co-stars have graced the ballroom on Dancing With the Stars, John Stamos has firmly stated that he will never participate in the reality dance competition. The 62-year-old actor recently revealed on The Bobbycast, hosted by DWTS champion Bobby Bones, that the show's producers reach out to him "every single season" with an invitation to compete.
Stamos has remained steadfast in his refusal, telling Bones, "I said, 'Stop! Don't ever ask me again. I'm never going to do that show.'" Even when Bones attempted to persuade him by highlighting the personal growth and potential enjoyment of the experience, Stamos did not budge.
The actor expressed a clear distaste for the physical toll and public vulnerability associated with the program. "What makes that show good is people suffering, and I don't want to. And looking like fools, you know. Like, they're breaking their feet, and their calluses… I don't want that," he explained.
While Stamos is uninterested, the Full House legacy on the show is well-established. Candace Cameron Bure famously reached the finals in Season 18, placing third, while Jodie Sweetin competed in Season 22, finishing in eighth place. Additionally, Juan Pablo Di Pace, known for his role in the spinoff Fuller House, secured a fifth-place finish during Season 27.
Although Stamos once made a guest appearance on the show alongside The Beach Boys in 2010, it appears that will remain his only connection to the ballroom. As the series prepares for its 35th season, the focus remains on a new crop of celebrities, while Stamos continues to prioritize his career away from the dance floor.
