Video asks for donations to help state citizens
Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are among the New Jersey celebrities introducing the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF). The New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund will collect donations and distribute funds to fight the medical, social, and economic impact of COVID-19 on New Jersey’s most vulnerable, supporting organizations that provide essential services and aiding those on the front line of the pandemic.
The NJPRF has released a two minute video featuring Bon Jovi and Springsteen who are asking for donations for state residents. The video begins with an introduction from Tammy Murphy, wife of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, but also includes appearances by pop star Charlie Puth, actor Danny DeVito, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg, and soccer star Carli Lloyd.
“These are uncertain times,” Springsteen shares while holding his guitar. “What is for certain is the pain, the fear and the real needs of many of our neighbors, our friends, and certainly all of those who are on the front lines of this pandemic.”
“We’re staying at home, but what more can we do?” Bon Jovi offers. “So we’re asking our Garden State, New Jersey, to ban together.”
NJPRF will provide grants to existing organizations with a demonstrated track record of caring for vulnerable communities. One hundred percent of every dollar received online by NJPRF will go to organizations that provide essential services to those in need and to assist those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic — so you can be assured that your contribution will have impact.
NJPRF is proud to be hosted by the Community Foundation of New Jersey, which has been serving the needs of New Jersey non-profits for more than 40 years.
