Kora Delivers a Hypnotic Session for EG Podcast

Montreal-based producer and DJ Kora has officially joined the EG Podcast series with the release of EG.1093. Recorded in his home studio following an inspiring visit to the local record shop La Rama, the session serves as a masterclass in blending vinyl discoveries with digital precision.

The project, led by producer Mikael B. Robillard, draws upon nearly two decades of experience behind the decks. His signature sound—a sophisticated fusion of house music, atmospheric textures, and rhythmic percussion—is on full display here. The mix explores deeper, faster, and more hypnotic territory, reflecting the artist's background in piano and percussion.

The session was heavily influenced by an afternoon of crate-digging, where recommendations from La Rama's Emilio provided the foundation for the mix's unique sonic direction. The resulting tracklist features a diverse array of artists, including Djrum, Sebo K, Lb Honne, Wallace (UK), Oli Vez, Keanu (CA), Juliana Urban, Hame, Sasha Novinskaya, DIKKA, Hraach, Miikael, Gudj, Patrick Holland, Jump Source, Priori, and Efdemin, alongside several unidentified gems.

Beyond his contributions to the EG Podcast, Kora continues to solidify his reputation in the electronic music scene with releases on prestigious labels such as Bedrock Records, Anjunadeep, Kindisch, Sol Selectas, and Decca. As a resident at Stereo Montréal and co-founder of the label Saisons Musique, he remains a pivotal figure in the evolution of modern house music.
