“What If I Never Get Over You” is the trio’s tenth No. 1 single
Seven-time GRAMMY winning trio Lady Antebellum launch into 2020 earning their tenth career No. 1 at country radio as “What If I Never Get Over You” tops both Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles and Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week. Simultaneously, the lead single from their critically acclaimed No. 1 selling album Ocean (BMLG Records) has been certified gold by the RIAA. The trio celebrated the success behind “What If I Never Get Over You” with BMLG Records, toasting to their first-ever chart topper together. The heart-wrenching duet has gained over 163 million streams alone while touted as one of the “Best Songs of 2019” by All Access, Billboard, Marie Claire, Nashville Scene and The Tennessean as it “embodies a return to their tight-knit harmonies and a deepening of the trio’s lyrics and perspectives,” (Music Row).
“The moment we heard ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ we knew it was going to be an integral piece of Ocean,” Dave Haywood shares. “It has been a long time since we released a mid-temp longing duet like this which is so much of who we are and how we started. It sort of felt like coming home and we are grateful to the team behind us and Country radio for believing in the song as much as we did from the start.”
After performing the chart-topper on The Voice, TODAY, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America and The CMA Awards, the multi-platinum trio showcased why critics agree that “unapologetic drama has always been their strong suit,” (Entertainment Weekly). Lady A will carry that some momentum into their upcoming Ocean 2020 Tour mixing a hit-filled set with fan-favorites and new songs from “arguably the finest album of the band’s career” (Nashville Scene). Launching on May 21st in Albuquerque, NM with very special guest Jake Owen as direct support along with openers Maddie & Tae, fans can first purchase tickets beginning January 24th for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket.
