Dates resume in August
Little Big Town has postponed and rescheduled the remainder of its Nightfall Tour for August amid health concerns over the coronavirus. The trek was set to continue last week with dates through May, but are now pushed from August through January 2021.
“This tour means everything to us, but amid the health concerns surrounding our country, we feel like the only thing to do to protect the health of our fans, band, crew, and families is to postpone the upcoming spring shows,” the band shares in a statement. “We are already counting down the weeks to be back out there with you all, celebrating life, love, music, and health with a new and different appreciation. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for all rescheduled dates. Stay safe and healthy and try to enjoy this unexpected time to spend with your loved ones.”
Every major concert, festival and event have either been postponed or canceled due to the pandemic the World Health Organization (WHO) declared last week. More than 270k cases have been reported in 110 countries with over 11k deaths. Nearly 100k people have contracted and survived the virus that was discovered last year, forcing much of the world to shut down or reduce hours.
Every hour seems to bring different ideas around the country. New York and California have issued “Stay at Home” orders with other states quickly following. Only essential businesses, such as grocery stores, banks and gas stations, remain open until further notice. Schools are out for at least a month, but possibly through the end of the school year. International travel has also been restricted for the time being.
