Indian DJ and producer Migrant returns with ‘Tarase’, a personal, emotionally rich single featuring Hindi vocals by Eeshita Rathore. The release is now available on all major platforms.
‘Tarase’ sees Migrant embrace a more focused and intentional sound, leaning into organic house rhythms, textured atmospheres, and a sense of emotional grounding. The track unfolds patiently through warm basslines, hypnotic groove, and airy production, placing feeling at its core.
Eeshita Rathore’s Hindi vocals form the heart of the piece, offering intimacy and depth, while subtle male vocal textures from Migrant add further humanity without disrupting the flow. The result is a composition that breathes—expanding and contracting in rhythm, echoing the natural cadence of the landscapes that inspired it.
Named after a word that evokes longing and compassion in Hindi, ‘Tarase’ reflects both cultural memory and emotional instinct. It is also rooted in place: the Aravalli mountain range in north-western India. To mark the release, Migrant and Rathore performed the track live in the Aravallis, embedding the music in the terrain it was made to honor.
“Tarase comes from love. Love for the Aravallis – especially now, when their state is so fragile. Love for its landscape of immense beauty – one we risk harming if we’re not mindful. Love for its art, its people and its heritage. Love for the forts, palaces and the stories they carry,” said Migrant. “At its core, this project is about preservation – of places, of culture, of each other.”
The release signals the start of a more defined sonic identity for Migrant—where rhythm, texture, and feeling serve something deeper than the dancefloor alone.
