New Queen Tsums released in Disney Tsum Tsum game | The Music Universe

New Freddie ’75 and John Deacon Tsums will be featured along with Queen music in Japan only

Line Corporation will be showcasing new versions of members of Queen as Tsums in the casual puzzle game “LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum,” a free game supported on iPhone & Android. The band made its debut in the game last August.

“LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum” is a casual puzzle game themed on Disney Store’s plush series Tsum Tsum featuring Disney characters. Since its initial release in Japan on January 29, 2014, the game has expanded to 154 countries and regions on July 1, 2014, covering the European and American markets such as US and UK as well as East Asian markets such as Thailand and Taiwan.

The members of Queen, namely vocalist Freddie Mercury, and bassist John Deacon, will be appearing as Tsums through January 31, 2020, available in Japan only. Each Tsum will come with their signature song that will be played when activating their skill. Freddie Mercury’s Tsum is namely Freddie ’75, designed after his 1975 look, when “Bohemian Rhapsody” was first released. Activating Freddie ’75’s skill will play the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” along with showing all Queen members in their 1975 look.

Activating John Deacon’s skill will play the song “Another One Bites the Dust.” Brian May and Roger Taylor will appear as Tsums when activating the Tsum skill.

Queen will join the popular fun, collectable and stackable Tsum Tsum plush line at the Disney Store online on January 15th. The special box set includes four mini Tsum plushes of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon where the inner box turns into a little stage. This release is considered rare and is only available in Japan.

Celebrating Queen’s unique friendship with Japan, Queen Exhibition: Bohemian Rhapsody which first goes on display in Tokyo January 15th, has been meticulously curated to highlight the special bond that has existed between the band and Japanese fans since Queen first arrived in Tokyo in April 1975. Working with Queen, the exhibition is produced by CreativeMan, Shinko and TV Asahi in association with Universal Music Japan.

The group will also release Queen – Greatest Hits in Japan on January 15th, featuring the Top 12 classic Queen songs voted by Japanese fans. Fans were asked to vote for one track out of 172 total. The top 12 fan-voted tracks make their way onto the final cut of the album. The physical CD release of the album will be exclusive to Japan, with the digital available worldwide. The limited edition CD will contain a DVD including music videos from the top 12 songs.
