Sumen Releases A Collection Of Rock And Roll, Blues, Rockabilly, And Dance Rock Songs – His Recent Project

Matt Sumen, or better known as Sumen, is a CA-based talented musician who has something to say to all those people who are tired of the uniformity of today’s music. Sumen has just released his special collection of latest projects, in which each of the songs has its own direction and musical genres. This tracklist includes 6 songs titled “Hold Me, Love Me,” “Let It Roll,” “Critical Rescue,” “Silly Songwriter,” “All I Want”  but the icing on the cake is the nicely titled song, “The Covid-19 Fix.”

After starting his solo career in 2019 Sumen is now able to combine different genres with his passion for rock music in his own projects. With a degree in music that Sumen got at Berklee College of Music in Boston, with his musical experience he gained while being a part of a rock and roll band which he formed named The HIGrounds in 2016 and with his heritage left by his family of polka musicians, Sumen is now able to create almost any kind of music his heart desires.

Each of his songs differs one from one another but you can feel the overall vibe the musician tries to send us.

“Hold Me, Love Me” - here Sumen tried to experiment with rock dance music and did a great job.
But in  "Let It Roll"  Sumen uses more beachy, pop, rock and roll tunes.

Inspired by Ringo Starr’s half swing drum groove technique, Sumen created an old school 60’s rockabilly song named “Silly Songwriter”.

“Critical Rescue”: if you have ever heard vintage-style songs with those specific elements of driving guitar parts, 3-part harmonies and cowbell and you liked it then this song is waiting for you.
And of course, not forgetting the all-bothering topic of COVID-19, the artist composed a song bearing the title “The Covid-19 Fix,” which is safe to say, works with a combination of the artist’s lighthearted approach on the situation, vocal, acoustic guitar licks and bass guitar lines.

Just make sure you have checked up Sumen’s Spotify because you will definitely find your favorite song or songs up there.
