Thaddeus X has officially released his latest project, ‘Club Safari,’ via the esteemed Emerald & Doreen Records imprint. This six-track EP serves as a significant addition to the label's catalog, emphasizing a sophisticated approach to high-energy indie dance and peak-time club structures.
The release is bolstered by two high-profile remixes that expand the EP’s sonic palette. Lauer delivers a masterful, melodic interpretation of the title track, successfully maintaining the original's driving momentum while layering in a polished, synth-heavy aesthetic. Complementing this, Iván Smoka provides a compelling rework of ‘Overtaking,’ opting to decelerate the tempo to cultivate a darker, tension-filled atmosphere that is perfectly suited for late-night dancefloor environments.
Throughout the original compositions, Thaddeus X demonstrates a remarkable range. The EP transitions seamlessly from the raw, high-speed intensity of ‘Overtaking’ to the direct, forceful dancefloor energy of the closing track, ‘Nuclear Power.’ In contrast, ‘Nine Lives’ offers a deliberate shift in pace, utilizing slower, syncopated rhythms and breakbeat elements to craft an experimental, dreamlike mood that anchors the collection.
The Berlin-based label Emerald & Doreen continues to solidify its reputation for an eclectic, forward-thinking approach to indie dance and nu-disco, providing the ideal platform for this multifaceted release.
‘Club Safari’ is available now for streaming and download.
