Tritt is prepping his first new album in 12 years on the label
Travis Tritt has signed with Big Noise Music as he preps to release a new studio album this year. Billboard first reported the news noting that Tritt is the first country artist on the label. He joins an array of urban, alternative and pop acts like Ashley Tisdale and The Used, along with several songwriters and producers.
“We get to work with a lot of great artists at Big Noise, but truthfully I never thought we’d have the honor of working with someone of Travis’ stature,” Jon Cohen, president of Big Noise Music Group, tells Billboard. “Travis is a legend, plain and simple. He’s an innovator and an outlaw, perfect for our roster at Big Noise.”
Tritt has teamed with producer Dave Cobb, who’s worked with Chris Stapleton and The Highwomen, for the new album, his first in 12 years. Last year, he released Homegrown, a 2 CD live recording from Augusta, GA in 2018 featuring his greatest hits and album cuts.
“I’m very excited about recording the new album with Dave Cobb. I’m also glad to be partnering with the Big Noise team and I’m looking forward to promoting this album with them in my corner,” Tritt adds.
Tritt spends much of the time on the road doing solo shows and full concerts with his band. He joins Lynyrd Skynyrd in March for their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour dates before joining Brooks & Dunn on their first tour in more than a decade.
Tritt has recently been featured on Hot Country Knights’ debut single, “Pick Her Up,” as well as Cory Marks’ “Outlaws & Outsiders” alongside Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch and Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe.
