'Weird Al' Yankovic Performs 'One More Minute' on 'Fallon': Watch

"Weird Al" Yankovic video called into The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (March 30) to perform his classic song "One More Minute" as an a capella anthem about social distancing.

For the uninitiated, the song finds the comedian distancing himself from an ex-girlfriend once the relationship has soured, a premise he called "sort of about social distancing, so kinda topical" while introducing the track from his home studio.

"Oh, so honey, let me help you with that suitcase/ You ain't gonna break my heart in two/ 'Cause I'd rather get a hundred thousand paper cuts on my face/ Than spend one more minute with you," he crooned on the 1950s doo-wop style chorus, accompanied by a track of his own voice multiplied as a chorus of backup singers.

The song comes from Yankovic's third studio album, 1985's Dare to Be Stupid, which also spawned "Like a Surgeon" -- a spoof on Madonna's classic "Like a Virgin -- and "Yoda," a Star Wars-related rewrite of The Kinks' "Lola."

While the comedic artist performed the song for Fallon without having to change the lyrics to make it fit the coronavirus pandemic, there may be no new spoofs about the situation. After fans shared that they'd like to hear him turn The Knack's 1979 hit "My Sharona" into "My Corona," Weird Al dashed their hopes in a March 3 tweet: "Yeah, no, sorry. Not gonna do 'My Corona.'"
