Pearl Jam releases 'Quick Escape' | The Music Universe

Song is latest track from Gigaton

Pearl Jam has released a brand new song “Quick Escape” in anticipation for its new album Gigaton, available Friday, March 27th Monkeywrench/Republic Records.

In addition, the band has released the “Quick Escape” arcade game where fans can select a member of the band to play an intergalactic Space Invader battle set to Pearl Jam’s latest release.

The grunge rockers were slated to host a Gigaton Listening Experience tonight (Wed, March 25th) at 200+ Dolby Atmos equipped theaters around the world. However, due to the global health crisis, the band has postponed the one night only experience until further notice.

“As this public health crisis continues to unfold, we have made the unfortunate decision to postpone ALL of the March 25th ‘Gigaton Theatrical Listening Experience’ events until they can be safely rescheduled,” they share. “We are working closely with all of our exhibitors around the world to quickly re-schedule these events as soon as possible.”

The group will support the album with the Gigaton Tour, now slated to kick off this summer in Europe. The trek was supposed to kick off on March 18th in Toronto and run through April 19th in Oakland, but those dates were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. So far, only the spring dates have been postponed with new dates still waiting to be announced. The group’s overseas run, starting June 23rd in Frankfurt, Germany, has not been affected, as of press time.

The grunge rockers are still slated to headline the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ and PJ frontman Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival in Dana Point, CA both in September.
