Gold certified “More Hearts Than Mine” is No. 1 at country radio
There’s no denying that Forbes got it right when they declared: “Ingrid Andress has managed something truly incredible.” Never in the recorded history of Country Aircheck have two debut females had back to back number one singles, followed by Gabby Barnett’s debut single “I Hope.” Until now. Andress’ gold-certified debut single “More Hearts Than Mine” is officially the No. 1 song this week across the country on the Mediabase Country Aircheck chart. Recently performing the poignant ballad on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic recording artist co-wrote the “elegantly written song” (The New York Times) with frequent collaborators Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland and walked fans through a line by line breakdown of the lyrics for Genius’ Verified series.
“Thank you country radio for your support and for embracing me and this song so readily,” Andress shared. “This is extra special because it’s a song about my family, who I love so much and who have been my No. 1 fans from the beginning. I’m beyond happy it has resonated with so many people, because that’s the whole beauty of country music; real stories that are told about real people living in this country. It’s an honor to tell those stories as so many legends have done before me.”
“More Hearts Than Mine” is featured on Andress’ debut album Lady Like, which holds the title of highest streaming country female debut album of all time. Entirely co-written and co-produced by Andress herself, Lady Like has received glowing reviews from some of the most-read publications across the country like Variety, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, ELLE, Teen Vogue, People, UPROXX, PAPER, Idolator, LADYGUNN and Flaunt to name a few. A “bold and impressive introduction to Andress’ artistry,” (HUFFPOST) the album also made waves abroad, earning accolades from the UK’s Notion, The Sun, Rollacoaster and Wonderland magazine.
In addition, the ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee was the first female country artist to become part of Apple Music’s Up Next program, the monthly artist initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent. Making history in 2019 as the only solo-female-debut to crack Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart, Andress has made additional national TV performances on Late Night with Seth Meyers and TODAY. The accomplished singer/songwriter, who has penned songs for artists including Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, FLETCHER and Dove Cameron, continues to hone her skills writing with heavy hitters in the music community like Sam Hunt, Alicia Keys and Tori Kelly.
