Cryptic Slipknot posters have been appearing in major cities across the globe, sparking intense speculation that the Iowa metal icons are on the verge of a new tour announcement. The mysterious artwork, which features the band's iconic ‘S’ logo set against a striking red background, was first identified in at least 10 cities throughout North and South America on September 22, 2026.

Fans have been quick to document the sightings, with posters appearing in Los Angeles, New York, Hershey, Houston, Mexico City, Bogota, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Chicago, Santiago, Toronto, and Ontario. Following the initial wave of sightings, similar posters have now been spotted in London, further intensifying rumors of a widespread international tour.

Each poster directs fans to the URL unlock.slipknot1.com. Upon visiting the site, users are prompted to register their email for updates. The landing page displays the numbers nine and 28, leading many to believe that a formal announcement is scheduled for Monday, September 28.

These developments follow the recent release of the surprise single ‘Arsenal,’ the band's first new music in three years. This track marks a significant era for the group, following the departure of Sid Wilson and the addition of drummer Eloy Casagrande. While fans are eager for new material, guitarist Jim Root has clarified that ‘Arsenal’ was intended as a standalone project rather than a representative sample of their upcoming studio album.

“‘Arsenal’ was a tune we could quickly get out there while we work on the rest of the record. It’s not really representative of the other tunes,” Root explained, confirming the track will not be included on their next LP. The band has been working with producer Matt Wallace on the follow-up to 2022’s The End, So Far, noting that they have a substantial amount of material in development.

In addition to the new album, the band has remained active with the release of their long-awaited ‘lost’ album, Look Outside Your Window, earlier this year. As the countdown to September 28 continues, the metal community remains on high alert for official confirmation regarding the band's touring plans.
