David Byrne’s Night – a unique tribute act celebrating the legacies of Talking Heads and Scottish poet Robert Burns – has officially announced a highly anticipated 2027 UK tour. The upcoming run of shows promises to be a significant cultural event, featuring a rotating supergroup of musicians drawn from the indie, punk, and experimental music scenes.
Founded by Dundee native Lola Stephen, the project originated as a one-off performance at London’s MOTH Club in 2023. Since then, it has evolved into a celebrated live experience that blends the iconic discography of David Byrne with the traditional poetry of Robert Burns. Following a successful, sold-out tour earlier this year and appearances at major festivals such as Latitude and Green Man, the collective is ready to expand its reach.

The 2027 tour is set to kick off on January 15 at Manchester’s New Century Hall. The ensemble for these dates includes members from a diverse array of acclaimed acts, including English Teacher, The Pogues, The Horrors, Goat Girl, and Man/Woman/Chainsaw, among many others. The tour will culminate in what is billed as the project's largest show to date at London’s Troxy.
These performances arrive at a poignant time, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the seminal 1977 debut album, Talking Heads '77. The tour dates are as follows:

- January 21 – Brighton, Chalk
- January 23 – London, Troxy
- January 25 – Glasgow, Old Fruitmarket
Beyond the tribute act, David Byrne remains as active as ever. The legendary artist has recently composed a song for a new documentary focused on Elon Musk and is preparing for an intimate UK book tour to support his latest work, Sleeping Beauties. His recent live performances, including a standout set at this year’s Mad Cool festival, continue to reinforce his status as a vital and enduring force in modern music.
