“Nobody But You” is Shelton’s 27th No. 1
He has 26 previous chart-toppers to his name, but Blake Shelton’s latest No. 1 single is perhaps his most special yet. This week the superstar’s massive single “Nobody But You” goes No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, an honor he shares with duet partner Gwen Stefani. The smash hit already boasts more than 750,000 track equivalents and upward of 80 million on-demand streams, and it has spent seven consecutive weeks in the Top 3 of the country Shazam chart.
“I knew the moment I heard this song that I wanted to record it,” Shelton shares. “Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Tommy Lee James, you wrote a perfect song in which every lyric has meaning in my life, and I thank you. Another thanks goes to the fans who continue to listen – and I know there are a lot of distractions these days – one day soon we can all celebrate music together again. And finally, thanks to Gwen for joining me and making this one of the most special songs I’ve recorded. Congratulations on your first number one country single!”
Shelton and Stefani have performed “Nobody But You” live on the 62nd GRAMMY Awards, ACM Presents: Our Country and, most recently, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The official music video, which “mirrors the song’s message song of devotion” (Rolling Stone), has racked up more than 26 million views in just three months. “Nobody But You” is the third single from Shelton’s recently released chart-topping collection Fully Loaded: God’s Country, which spent 16 consecutive weeks within the Top 5 on the Country Album Sales chart and earned the third biggest debut-week sales total for a country album in 2019.
Though he’s been surrounded by love and music as of late, there was something else on Shelton’s mind this past weekend: football. The loyal Arizona Cardinals fan joined co-hosts Rich Eisen, Deion Sanders and a slew of other guests for the 2020 NFL Draft-A-Thon LIVE! on Thursday (April 23rd).
