ADE and Insomniac Unveil Map Point Summit for May 2027

The global electronic music landscape is set for a significant evolution as Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and Insomniac officially announce the launch of Map Point Summit. This ambitious new conference, designed to foster dialogue and innovation within rave culture, is scheduled to take place at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in May 2027.

The three-day gathering is strategically positioned to bridge the gap between the two weekends of EDC, running from May 14th–16th and May 21st–23rd. By bringing together a diverse array of independent promoters, artists, creators, and industry entrepreneurs, the summit aims to provide a dedicated space for educational workshops, collaborative discussions, and essential networking opportunities.

A New Meeting Place for Rave Culture

The name "Map Point Summit" pays homage to the foundational traditions of underground rave culture, where attendees would gather at designated map points to receive directions to secret event locations. The organizers intend to modernize this concept, transforming it into a professional hub where the electronic music community can converge to address the future of the industry.

The project was unveiled by Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella during a keynote session at the 30th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event. In a conversation moderated by Billboard Dance Director Katie Bain, the discussion centered on the necessity of supporting independent promoters and developing a more sustainable ecosystem for the global dance community.

“We need to support independent promoters, share knowledge, create opportunities for the next generation, and work together to build an industry that allows rave culture to thrive on its own terms,” said Pasquale Rotella.

Collaborative Innovation

This partnership leverages the unique strengths of both organizations: Insomniac’s extensive experience in producing world-class live electronic music events and ADE’s long-standing reputation for professional development and educational programming. By combining these resources, the summit seeks to empower the next generation of industry leaders while reinforcing the values that define the electronic music scene.

While further details regarding the full speaker lineup and specific programming are expected in the coming months, the industry is already looking toward Las Vegas as the next epicenter for professional discourse in dance music.
