Sabrina Carpenter has covered Chappell Roan’s ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ For BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge.
The ‘Espresso’ chart-topper stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Lounge earlier today (June 18) and performed her newest single ‘Please Please Please‘ and sang a stripped-down rendition of Roan’s ‘Good Luck Babe’.
Her cover of Roan’s song began with an acoustic version of the track’s intro, turning it into a ballad before bringing the tempo up back to its original pop sound. The singer previously told Rolling Stone that she’s had ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ on “loopty loop.”

Elsewhere, Carpenter is set to release her sixth album ‘Short N Sweet’ on August 23 via Island Records.
Last week, she gave ‘Please Please Please‘ its live debut at Gov Ball in New York. At the festival, she took a second to read a fan’s sign that read “Please Please Please play ‘Please Please Please’” and said: “Look, I know I said I can’t relate to desperation but I’m just a girl so uhm,” before jumping into the new track.
In other news, Carpenter addressed her recent campaign with SKIMS and shared that there is no tension between her and Taylor Swift.

The speculation about the friendship between Carpenter and Swift came into question when the former partnered up with SKIMS – the clothing brand founded by Kim Kardashian – earlier this year.
The ‘Nonsense’ singer was also previously accused of copying a French magazine for the artwork of her new album without giving the publication credit.
