Romo, 46, was arrested in Milwaukee, WI, late Thursday night. He was cited for OWI after being pulled over while traveling south on Interstate 43.
Fox 6 Milwaukee obtained an arrest report indicating that Romo was taken into police custody after failing to perform adequately on field sobriety tests. The former quarterback, an avid golfer, had been in the area throughout the week participating in the Wisconsin Amateur Championship.
The former signal-caller was booked and subsequently released, with reports noting he appeared in his mug shot with a faint smile. He is currently scheduled to appear in court on September 21.
