The group appeared as a four-piece ensemble featuring Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung. While members Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are currently on hiatus, the quartet commanded the Studio 8H stage with precision and energy. Their first performance, 'Animal'—the lead single from their third EP, Wild—featured intricate choreography that highlighted the group's performance capabilities. The segment offered a humorous take on a fictional second season of The Debut: Dream Academy, with the group members appearing as judges.
The original Dream Academy, a collaborative project between HYBE and Geffen Records, launched in 2023 to cultivate a global girl group. Since their formation, the members have navigated a unique path, balancing chart-friendly pop sensibilities with a desire to push creative boundaries. Their recent SNL appearance follows the August 14 release of Wild and comes as the group continues their 'WILDWORLD' arena tour, which recently concluded its successful European leg.
