Bella Robertson is officially a new mom. The Duck Dynasty star and her husband, Jacob Mayo, shared the joyous news over the weekend, announcing the arrival of their first child, daughter Merritt Presley Mayo. The couple celebrated the milestone by sharing a series of heartwarming photographs of their newborn on social media.
“Our rainbow baby !!!!!!” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “6 lb 8 oz of pure perfection — our girl, merritt presley mayo! Trust in God, He is so faithful!!”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of love from family and friends, including Bella’s sister, Sadie Robertson Huff, who commented on the post, “Best kept secret and best day EVER!!! We love you Merritt Mayo.”
Bella and Jacob, who have been married since 2021, have been candid about their journey to parenthood. During an appearance on her sister’s WHOA That’s Good podcast in 2025, Bella opened up about the emotional challenges of dealing with unexplained infertility for three and a half years.
“It’s something you think your whole life happens one way and then it doesn’t,” she shared during the interview. “So that was very shocking to me. I was like, ‘Why is this not happening? This is how it’s supposed to happen.’”
Despite the frustration of not finding medical answers, Bella emphasized that the experience ultimately deepened her spiritual life. “We’ve done everything under the sun,” she explained, noting that while they tried various lifestyle changes and health regimens, the process led them to find “a lot of faith and a lot of strength in Christ.”
