Gracie Abrams delivered a captivating performance on Saturday Night Live this past October 31, marking her return to the iconic stage for the show's Halloween special. Embracing the spirit of the holiday, the singer-songwriter drew inspiration from Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, incorporating thematic costumes and set designs that mirrored the movie's most memorable moments.
Abrams opened her set with 'Hit The Wall,' the lead single from her third studio album, Daughter From Hell. For this performance, she donned the iconic angel costume worn by Claire Danes in the film’s famous fancy-dress party sequence. To further immerse the audience in the aesthetic, she began the song positioned behind an aquarium, a direct nod to the scene where Juliet and Romeo, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, first lock eyes.
Later in the episode, Abrams returned to perform 'Here You Come, There You Go,' a track recently released on October 29 that is set to appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of Daughter From Hell. Shifting her tribute, she appeared dressed as DiCaprio’s Romeo, complete with the character's signature Hawaiian shirt and the metallic sleeves from his knight’s costume.
This appearance marks the second time Abrams has served as an SNL musical guest, following her debut in December 2024. The performance arrives just ahead of the November 20 release of the expanded edition of Daughter From Hell, which will feature five additional tracks. Following the release, Abrams is scheduled to embark on her 2026-2027 ‘The Look At My Life Tour,’ beginning in Denver this December.
