Indie legend Jamie T has officially confirmed that he will be performing a surprise secret set at Reading Festival 2026. The announcement follows a playful social media campaign where the artist reached out to festival organizers, requesting a last-minute slot on the bill.
“Reading Festival, do you think I can get on the bill at the last minute?” he asked in a video posted early Thursday morning. “Please? I’ll play any time, any stage, all I need is 33 minutes and 10 seconds. That’s it. Short and sweet.”
The specific duration requested serves as a clever nod to his recent single, ‘3310’, a tribute to the classic Nokia phone. The track is the first offering from his upcoming album, Ghosts (100 Days of Morning), which is scheduled for release on October 9 via Polydor Records.
Jamie T has confirmed he will open the main stage—now rebranded as The Grid—on Friday, August 27, at 12pm. Notably, he will not be appearing at the sister event, Leeds Festival. This performance follows a highly successful, sold-out secret show at London’s Scala last week, marking his return to the venue after two decades.
The festival atmosphere is already electric, with Royal Blood also confirmed for a secret set on The Gallery stage at 2pm tomorrow. Frontman Mike Kerr described the upcoming performance as “pretty brutal,” noting that the 45-minute window will allow the duo to focus on their heavier material.
As Reading & Leeds officially kicks off, the festival grounds are buzzing with anticipation. Headliners for the weekend include Charli XCX, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C., Dave, RAYE, and Chase & Status. With a diverse lineup featuring artists such as Skepta, Holly Humberstone, and Declan McKenna, the 2026 edition is set to be a landmark moment for UK music.
Following his festival appearance, Jamie T will embark on a seven-date UK headline tour starting December 7 in Birmingham, with further stops in Newcastle, Leeds, and Glasgow.
