RHOC Star Jennifer Pedranti Addresses Son's Role in Brush Fire

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Jennifer Pedranti has publicly addressed reports that her son played a role in igniting a significant brush fire in Southern California. Pedranti, who joined the popular Bravo reality series in 2023 for Season 17, confirmed that her son and several other individuals were questioned by authorities regarding a blaze that broke out in Ladera Ranch last week.

In a statement shared on Instagram last Thursday, the reality personality sought to clarify the situation. "I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch fire," she wrote. "He and others were involved. My ex-husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family."

Investigation and Community Impact

According to Pedranti, while her son and the other youths were interviewed by law enforcement, no arrests were made. She emphasized that her son is currently participating in a fire safety course and will face disciplinary consequences within the family for his actions. The mother of five—who shares four sons and one daughter with her ex-husband, biotech engineer William Pedranti—did not specify which of her children was involved in the incident.

The Orange County Fire Authority reported that the blaze began around 4:45 p.m. on a Tuesday, occurring on Narrow Canyon Road. The fire, which threatened nearby residential properties, was eventually contained to approximately 7 acres with assistance from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The fire and police were absolutely amazing and gave these boys a lesson they will never forget.

While the cause of the fire remains under official investigation, reports indicate that three minors were interviewed by authorities. Law enforcement sources noted that in cases where minors are involved in fires that do not result in property damage, criminal charges are not typically pursued. A comprehensive report regarding the incident is expected to be released 10 days following the event.

Pedranti, who is currently engaged to Ryan Boyajian, expressed relief that the situation did not result in more severe consequences. "We were so thankful there was no property damage and nobody was hurt," she stated, highlighting the professionalism of the emergency responders who managed the scene.
