The Guest List have officially announced their highly anticipated debut album, Something Real, a project designed to capture the essence of finding meaning within a tumultuous and often overwhelming world. To mark the announcement, the Manchester five-piece has released the tender, atmospheric lead single, ‘You Should Care’, alongside a comprehensive list of new tour dates for late 2026.
The band’s ascent has been steady and impressive over the past 18 months. Following the release of their debut EP, When The Lights Are Out, last year, the group has gained significant traction through high-profile support slots with Blossoms and Inhaler, as well as a successful UK headline tour earlier this year.
Something Real, which is scheduled for release on August 28, is described by the band as a reflection of the confusion and doubt faced by their generation, balanced against a persistent search for hope. Frontman Cai Alty leads the new single with a vulnerable vocal performance, set against a steady, building guitar arrangement that culminates in a heartfelt chorus.

The album was recorded in Norway with collaborator Matias Tellez and features production work from The Coral’s James Skelly. Across its 12 tracks, the record tackles weighty subjects including mental health, climate change, and domestic violence, all while maintaining the band's signature vulnerability.
“The album is basically us saying, ‘we’re young, we’re confused just like you – how did we get here?’,” Alty explained. “It’s about trying to find something meaningful in a world that often feels overwhelming.”
Following their recent UK run, the band has confirmed their largest headline tour to date, beginning this November. These dates follow a busy summer of festival appearances, including slots at Isle Of Wight, Reading & Leeds, and Boardmasters, as well as a European headline tour kicking off in October.
