So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. In these concertless times, that includes daily livestreams and live concert videos we love. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

PSYCHEDELIC FURS - "COME ALL YE FAITHFUL"
Don't worry, Christmas has not come early. This new single from Psychedelic Furs' upcoming Made of Rain just shares a title with the yuletide carol. "Come All Ye Faithful" is dark and skronky stocking stuffer. Made of Rain is out July 31.

KELLY LEE OWENS - "ON"
Kelly Lee Owens' new album Inner Song got pushed to August 28 but to tide us over here's a new single from it. “This is perhaps the most intimate and personal song I've written so far - the two halves of the track reflect upon sad acceptances of the truth and then the joyous aftermath of liberation that can come from that," says Kelly. "This can definitely be heard in the production and arrangement of the track - the first half sonically connecting to the inner revelations and the second half, the liberation in action, the forward motion.” You can watch the gorgeous video for "On," which features an edit of the track, or listen to a stream of the full song.

FULL OF HELL - "LANGUAGE OF MOLTEN CHERUBS"
Full of Hell released their first new track since 2019's Weeping Choir, "Language of Molten Cherubs," and it's a noisy, intense, sensory overload.

Modern-day Bay Area death metal greats Necrot unleashed another scorcher off their anticipated sophomore album Mortal.

KAMAAL WILLIAMS - "HOLD ON" (ft. LAUREN FAITH)
Kamaal Williams has proven to be one of the more forward-thinking, genre-defying artists in both modern-day jazz and electronic music, and this new single off his upcoming album Wu Hen is a great example of why. It puts a jazzy spin on early 2010s style atmospheric R&B, with perfectly-matched guest lead vocals by Lauren Faith.

JPEGMAFIA - "THE BENDS!"
JPEGMAFIA has been releasing singles all year, and today he's back with another one. This one opens with a sample of a Trump speech, and he goes on to sing-rap about the Trump administration over his own inventive production.

KEATON HENSON - "ONTARIO"
UK artist Keaton Henson released his first singer/songwriter-style song since 2016's Kindly Now, "Career Day," last month, and now he's followed it with the delicate, melancholy folk of "Ontario." "I have found great solace in the icy winds of Canada," Keaton writes. "Where, upon opening the door in the morning, the instant freezing of your skin takes any lingering sleeplessness and unreason from you, making you move forward, no matter what else is going on. It is an ode to that landscape, and a portrait of a place I find beautiful, albeit strange."

TOURIST & THE RANGE - "LAST"
Two great electronic musicians, Tourist and The Range, put their heads together for this glistening, infectious new song. "I think this song is a wonderful combination of Will's and my individual music," says The Range. "This song captures an ephemeral sense of longing and transportation to me, particularly now for me as it feels like a totally different world from when Will and I wrote this song."

DENISE SHERWOOD - "MUSIC SHALL LIVE" (FT LEE "SCRATCH" PERRY)
Denise Sherwood is the daughter of producer and dub innovator Adrian Sherwood and has sung with The Slits, Primal Scream and The Pogues. Her new album, This Road, will be out October 2 via On-U Sound and features production by her father, plus contributions from Lee “Scratch” Perry, Mala, The Pop Group's Mark Stewart, and Tackhead's Skip McDonald and Doug Wimbish. "Music Shall Live" throws a little drum-n-bass in with the dub for an appealing first taste of the album.

CULTS - "SPIT YOU OUT"
Following their 2017 album Offering, Cults released a full album cover of The Motels' debut, as well as a b-side and remix album, and now they're back with a new single, "Spit You Out." "On this single we tried on some of our more left field influences from the exotica sounds of Esquivel to Nine Inch Nails style heaviness," they write. "It focuses on parasitic relationships and breaking away from toxic patterns of interaction. We never imagined it would relate to a worldwide pandemic."

ANAMANAGUCHI - "STYLA"
"Over the summer we're releasing a whole bunch of singles — a nice getaway from doing an album with a fun, low-pressure but still hi-effort vibe," write Anamanaguchi. "Since we're not on tour we can kinda flex our natural strengths as an 'internet band', we don't all need to be in the same place to make songs we love. The first one is called 'Styla' and its an airy digipop supermelodic active but light jam perfect for summer. We didn’t want to think about it too much, just wanted it to feel like sharing songs with buds."

BING AND RUTH - “THE PRESSURE OF THIS WATER”
Bing and Ruth has shared a new single from Species which is out July 17 via 4AD. “It’s the first song I wrote on my Farfisa, and it’s stuck by me through all the time since," says B&R analog David Moore. "The accompanying visuals here are from Michael Speed who, faced with the impossibility of actually travelling to the desert, chose to collage publicly available stock footage into a video that reflects the arid nature of the track itself.”

KATIE DEY - "DANCING"
Australian musician Katie Dey released Solipsisters last year, and now she's announced another new album, mydata, due out July 24 via Run for Cover. "So much of my life is just on the internet," Dey says. "So many private, intimate moments. You can download this enormous chat log you have with someone, and it will be like 20MB. But that’s not where the relationship is. That’s not where it’s contained." New single "dancing" is accompanied by a video directed by Devi McCallion, formerly of Black Dresses, in virtual world Second Life.

DENT MAY - "I COULD USE A MIRACLE"
Dent May is back with a new album of Yacht Rock-inspired pop, titled Late Checkout and out August 21 via Carpark. First single "I Could Use a Miracle" is a lazy '70s-style jam that's fond of pounding piano and twin-lead guitars. “This song is about going through trying times, living in a world gone mad yet holding on to hope that things will get better,” says Dent. “I hope it gives listeners some comfort.”

BENT ARCANA - "MISANTHROPE"
Bent Arcana, the improvisational combo that includes Oh Sees' John Dwyer, TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone and Gang Gang Dance drummer Ryan Sawyer, have shared a second song from their upcoming debut album. "Misanthrope Gets Lunch" is a low-key, slow-burning jam set to a boogie beat that's happy to choose smoke over fire.

DERADOORIAN - "CORSICAN SHORES"
Deradoorian says new brooding new single "Corsican Shores" is "about a woman truly focusing on herself for the first time. No relationship, no help, just unknown territory. A song about feeling more comfortable in my darkness than whatever joy could possibly be.” Her new album Find the Sun will be out September 18 via ANTI-.

HOOPS - "FALL BACK"
“I missed working with those guys. I’d been writing these songs and I thought we could do well together," says Keagan Beresford of his band Hoops getting back together after a few years on break. "They’re my best friends and my favorite collaborators.” "Fall Back" is our first taste of new album Halo out October 2nd via Fat Possum

FREAK HEAT WAVES - "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER"
Canadian gothy synth group Freak Heat Waves return with new album Zap the Planet in September and here's an atmospheric track from it, part dingey Berlin warehouse, and part Ibiza foam party.

PLANTS AND ANIMALS - "HOUSE ON FIRE"
Canadian indie vets Plants and Animals are back with The Jungle, their first album in four years, which will be out October 23 via Secret City Records “We started working on this a couple of years ago," say the band of the album's first single. "Warren was afraid for a friend’s health. He thought he was self-medicating too much and not taking care of himself. He couldn’t let go of this image of an overworked dude swallowing too many sleeping pills and falling asleep with the stove on. So it began as the place next door, sometime before Greta Thunberg turned the expression into a rallying cry, where Earth is the house and the people are sleeping. It’s terrifying, and on the whole we’re not unlike this friend, are we?"

ROBERTO CARLOS LANGE - "CLOUD WOW 002"
Roberto Carlos Lange, who also records as Helado Negro, is releasing an EP of “impressionistic sound pieces” titled Kite Symphony, Four Variations. The compositions are based on "graphic scores" which he made in collaboration with visual artist Kristi Sword.

SAMIA - "FIT N FULL"
New York native Samia Finnerty has announced her debut album as Samia, The Baby, due out August 28 via Grand Jury. It includes previous single "Is There Something In the Movies," as well as brand new single "Fit N Full," which Samia's shared today. "For some reason the words ‘fit’ and ‘full’ have always felt mutually exclusive to me," she says. "I wrote this while I was living in the East Village, so overwhelmed by the magic and culture around me and literally only capable of thinking about my fucking body. I tried to write this from the perspective of the person I wanted to be instead of the person who stares at her reflection in the window of Veselka."

NYC art pop artist Lafawndah releases her new album The Fifth Season on September 8 via Honest Jon's/The Orchard, and the first single is the stunning "You, At The End."

JESS WILLIAMSON - "PICTURES OF FLOWERS" FT. HAND HABITS
Jess Williamson's new album Sorceress came out last month, and now she's shared a twangy new song that isn't on it, "Pictures of Flowers." It features Hand Habits' Meg Duffy on guitar, and about it, Jess says that it's "a song that speaks to the fear and uncertainty I felt in the early days of the Quarantine, as well as the clarity gained and realignment in priorities I’ve been experiencing over the last few months. I feel like a different person today than I was in January. Initially, being forced to cancel the tour dates in support of my new album had me reflecting on how to move forward with my career. What was the point anyway? My musical ambition began to feel hollow in the face of a global pandemic. I spent most days alone, going on long walks around my eerily quiet neighborhood. Then, when the police murdered George Floyd, these empty streets filled with protestors. This uprising has been a long time coming. From where I’m sitting, this seems like an apocalypse in the truest sense of the word — an unveiling. We’re seeing, firsthand, the People tear down the Tower to build new structures. 'Pictures of Flowers' means something different to me now from when I first wrote it. Here’s to continuing to learn, listen, grow, and evolve."

Kesha's contribution to the Hal Willner-produced T. Rex tribute album is here, and it's a faithful rendition that finds Kesha embracing the legendary band's glam rock style.

MARLOWE (L'ORANGE & SOLEMN BRIGHAM) - "FUTURE POWER SOURCES"
Marlowe, the duo of underground hip hop producer L'Orange and rapper Solemn Brigham, arer releasing their new album Marlowe 2 on August 7 via Mello Music Group, and lead single "Future Power Sources" is a great dose of kinetic, psychedelic, alternative rap.

ROPE SECT - "HIRAETH" & "FLOOD FLOWER"
Germany's Rope Sect make a metal-adjacent blend of goth, post-punk, deathrock, etc, and their new album The Great Flood comes out August 12 via Iron Bonehead Productions (and it features Hexvessel vocalist Mat "Kvohst" McNerney on two tracks). So far they've put out two singles, the gothy "Hiraeth" and the sludgier "Flood Flower," the latter of which is one of the songs with Kvohst.

JONSI - "SWILL"
Sigur Ros' Jonsi will release Shiver, his first album in a decade, October 2 via on Krunk. New single "Swill" is bright and brassy, with chopped up production disrupting his distinctive post-rock sound.

BORIS - "LOVELESS"
The extremely prolific Boris just announced a new album which will be out next week, and first single "Loveless" is a fucking rager - one of the thrashiest songs we've heard from Boris in a while. Read more here.

Chicago punk vets The Lawrence Arms' anticipated first album in six years Skeleton Coast comes out July 17 via Epitaph, and they've just released second single "Last Last Words," which you can read more about here.

MYRKUR & ANNA VON HAUSSWOLFF - "ALL IS FULL OF LOVE" (BJORK COVER)
Myrkur (Amalie Bruun) and Anna Von Hausswolff have released a gothy, haunting, minimal cover of Bjork's 1997 Homogenic classic "All Is Full Of Love." Read more about it here.

J LASER - EP
Jordan Lawlor, who has spent time as a touring and recording member of M83, is set to make his solo debut as J. Laser> with the release of his self-titled EP this Friday. While you can hear parallels to the band he played in -- there is a strong love of the '80s present -- J. Laser makes his own brand of emotionally heightened, widescreen synthpop.
