Alaskan Bush People star Gabriel Brown and his wife, Raquell, are parting ways after seven years of marriage. The couple, who have been a fixture in the lives of reality television fans, are now navigating the complexities of a formal separation.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Raquell filed for divorce on September 22. In the filing, she described the couple's marriage as "irretrievably broken." While the news of the split has only recently come to light, reports indicate that the pair separated over the summer and have been living in separate residences since April. Currently, Raquell is residing in Minnesota, while Gabriel remains in Washington.
The legal filings reveal that the couple does not own any real property together. Raquell has requested that the court oversee a fair division of their personal property and that each party remains responsible for the debts incurred since their date of separation. Furthermore, she is seeking for Gabriel to cover her attorney's fees and associated costs, while also reserving the right to request temporary spousal support.
The couple shares three children, and Raquell’s filing includes a request for child support. She is asking that Gabriel be held responsible for medical support, childcare costs, education expenses, and long-distance transportation fees to facilitate the children's needs.
While the couple has not issued a formal joint statement, fellow Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown, who often serves as a spokesperson for the family, confirmed the news in a recent TikTok video. "Yes, Gabe is getting divorced," he stated. "Stuff happens. I hope that everything can be done peacefully and work out and everything be what's best for the children because that's what you should do."
