The experimental duo Angine de Poitrine recently surprised fans by debuting a new third alien member during their live performance at the History venue in Toronto, Canada, on the evening of Thursday, November 5. The mysterious addition to the stage setup provided a unique twist to their set, specifically handling triangle duties on a brand-new, as-yet-untitled track that received its live premiere.
While official details remain scarce, reports from Setlist.FM suggest the new performer is referred to as ‘Poitrine,’ though this has yet to be verified by the band. The appearance has sparked significant speculation among the group's fanbase, with Reddit users theorizing about the character's identity and the origins of the new, funky composition. One fan suggested, “Apparently it’s the new theme song for some Quebec TV show,” while others have jokingly dubbed the newcomer ‘Petit Poitrine’ until further information surfaces.

The band’s current North American tour continues with a homecoming performance in Québec tonight, followed by dates in Montréal, New York, and Los Angeles. This follows a highly successful year for the group, which included a viral appearance on Jimmy Fallon, a performance on Later… With Jools Holland, and the release of their second album, ‘Vol. II’.
Looking ahead, the duo has already announced an ambitious world tour for 2027. The schedule includes three nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and a performance at Halifax’s Piece Hall in June. These UK dates, which coincide with the timing of Glastonbury, have fueled rumors that the band may be set for a high-profile appearance at Worthy Farm next summer.
