Love Is Blind Stars Sarah Williams and John Shannon File for Divorce

The honeymoon phase has officially come to an end for a pair of former Love Is Blind contestants. Sarah Williams and John Shannon, who appeared on the popular Netflix reality dating show, are heading their separate ways. The couple stood out as the only pair to wed during the show's 11th season, which recently concluded.

According to reports, 34-year-old Williams and 33-year-old Shannon were married in March of last year, well before the current season began airing. However, the union was short-lived; court documents indicate that Sarah filed for divorce from John in June of this year, approximately two months after the couple had already begun living apart. In her filing, Williams cited an “irretrievable breakdown of their marriage” as the primary reason for the split. It is understood that Sarah is seeking an equitable division of the couple’s assets and debts.

While it remains unclear if the divorce proceedings have been finalized, fans of the series will have one final opportunity to see the couple together. The upcoming season 11 reunion special, scheduled to air on Sunday, Nov. 8, will feature the pair, marking their first public appearance together since their separation. This reunion arrives just days after the season finale, which highlighted the couple as the only success story among the six pairs who chose to tie the knot.

Williams and Shannon are now the third couple from the franchise to pursue a divorce, following in the footsteps of season 3’s Brennon and Alexa Lemieux, as well as Amanda Rincon Jongard and Sergio Rincon from Love Is Blind: Sweden. Despite the high-profile nature of these breakups, the series—which is co-hosted by Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey—continues to maintain its status as a cultural phenomenon, having secured eight Primetime Emmy nominations to date.
