Acquires Lake Allegan Pub Club & Hurdjamz Music Publishing Catalogs

Big Machine Music (BMM) has announced the signing of hit songwriter and RCA Recording artist Ryan Hurd to an exclusive songwriting agreement and acquisition of his Lake Allegan Pub Club (ASCAP) and Hurdjamz (BMI) music publishing catalogs. The catalogs includes songs recorded by Lady Antebellum (“What If I Never Get Over You,” “You Look Good”), Luke Bryan (“Sunrise Sunburn Sunset Repeat”), Diplo (“Heartless” ft. Julia Michaels and Morgan Wallen) and wife Maren Morris (“I Wish I Was,” “All My Favorite People”) as well as his own hits “Diamonds or Twine” and gold-certified Top 20 hit “To A T.”

“Ryan is a dynamic artist and songwriter with a high trajectory and boundless future,” comments BMM General Manager Mike Molinar. “The power of his music translates through both his voice and his writing, across genres, through audiences and up the charts. Big Machine Music is proud to become the steward of his catalog and advocate for his songwriting career.”

Hurd officially joins BMM’s wildly talented roster, which includes Brett Young, Brandy Clark, Laura Veltz, Jessie Jo Dillon, Eric Paslay and more.

“I love being a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee. Over the last few years, I have gotten to know Mike Molinar and Alex Heddle on a personal and professional level. They treat songs and songwriters with amazing care and excitement, and I’m so happy to begin a new chapter with the entire publishing team at Big Machine Music,” shares Hurd.

RCA singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd continues his ubiquitous rise taking his trademark, powerful lyrics, melodies, and electric live performance to the fans. Hurd is one of Nashville’s most multi-dimensional young artist/songwriters. Lauded for “generating major buzz” and “making waves” (Rolling Stone), the Kalamazoo native has garnered more than 328 million career streams worldwide and caught the attention of entertainment tastemakers including men’s lifestyle playbook Esquire and Maxim. Hurd, labeled “one to watch” by Pandora, Rolling Stone, and Huffington Post, most recently served as support on Old Dominion’s Make It Sweet Tour and is currently headlining his Platonic Tour across the country.
