Loner Tennis Club Returns with ‘Modern Rituals’

Loner Tennis Club has officially unveiled their latest project, a six-track EP titled 'Modern Rituals,' released through the Loners record label. The collection arrives as a comprehensive exploration of sound, available now across both digital and vinyl formats.

The EP’s narrative arc is meticulously crafted, designed to mirror the emotional and sonic progression of a night out. It begins with the high-octane energy of the opening track, 'Energy,' which features a compelling collaboration with vocalist Duppy. This track, which served as the project's lead single earlier this spring, sets a driving tone that eventually gives way to more reflective, late-night atmospheres as the EP unfolds.

Musically, 'Modern Rituals' occupies a sophisticated space at the intersection of modern UK garage and house music. The production is characterized by rolling drum programming, steady breaks, and driving basslines. A standout element of the EP is the integration of field recordings captured in Sri Lanka, which provide a unique, hypnotic, and organic texture to the club-ready rhythms.

Loner Tennis Club has built a distinct reputation for their ability to fuse driving electronic rhythms with a sense of atmospheric, future-garage melancholy. This latest body of work serves as a natural evolution of that sound, following a successful series of single releases throughout March and April, including 'Overnight Shift' and 'Above.'
