The deal includes a substantial $101 million in guaranteed money, bringing his average annual salary to $33 million.
This historic agreement establishes Witherspoon as the highest-paid cornerback in the history of the NFL. He becomes the second first-round pick from the Seahawks' 2023 draft class to secure a long-term extension, joining wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who recently signed a four-year deal worth $168.6 million.
Since being selected fifth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, Witherspoon has been a cornerstone of the Seattle defense, earning Pro Bowl honors in each of his first three professional seasons. His statistical impact has been profound, totaling 249 combined tackles, two interceptions, 4.5 sacks, and nine quarterback hits. Notably, he also recorded a 97-yard interception return for a touchdown.
