Miley Cyrus Honored With Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Miley Cyrus received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (May 22), marking a significant milestone in her storied career. The singer was joined by actress Anya Taylor-Joy and designer Donatella Versace for the ceremony, which saw the pop icon honored for her enduring impact on music and culture.

During the event, Anya Taylor-Joy delivered a heartfelt speech, praising Miley Cyrus for her artistic evolution. "She has never asked for permission to evolve," Taylor-Joy remarked, noting that the singer has navigated her path "beautifully, unapologetically and always, always authentically."

Donatella Versace, who styled Cyrus for the occasion, added, "A star is what you are. You shine with strength, commitment and love."

As the 2,845th recipient of a star on the Walk of Fame, Miley Cyrus reflected on the nature of her success during her acceptance speech. Referencing her 2025 track 'Walk of Fame', she spoke about the concept of legacy and the drive required to sustain a career in the public eye. "My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer – so does a star on the Walk of Fame by the way – and it's not about the force, but it's about the repetition. What feels so special to me about this star is that it's an accumulation of devotion," she explained.

Cyrus also took a moment to express gratitude to her supporters. "You are the stars that make my dream a reality every day for your love and support, and I thank you," she said, visibly moved. She concluded by thanking her family and collaborators for standing by her through both her triumphs and her fears.

The ceremony follows the release of her ninth studio album, 'Something Beautiful', which has been widely praised for its artistic depth. The record features collaborations with industry legends, including Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham, and continues to solidify her status as a defining voice in modern pop.
