Pamela Anderson to Star in ‘Naked Gun’ Reboot With Liam Neeson

Pamela Anderson is adding The Naked Gun to her filmography. Deadline reports that the Baywatch actress has been cast in Paramount Pictures' upcoming Naked Gun reboot, directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer. Anderson joins Liam Neeson in the untitled film, which is slated for release in July 2025.

The new movie is based on the Naked Gun franchise, which spawned three movies between 1988 and 1994 and began with the short-lived NBC crime comedy Police Squad! in 1982. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand wrote a draft script for the new Naked Gun with Schaffer. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing under their Fuzzy Door banner, with Daniel M. Stillman as executive producer.

Anderson hasn't done too many roles in recent years, with her latest one being the 2022 film Alone at Night. Aside from starring in Baywatch from Seasons 3 to 7, she is also known for Barb Wire, Raw Justice, Home Improvement, Stacked, Blonde and Blonder, Superhero Movie, and the Baywatch reboot movie in 2017. Anderson is also set to star in the upcoming drama film The Last Showgirl alongside Kiernan Shipka, Dave Bautista, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, and Billie Lourd.

Paramount Pictures officially greenlit the new Naked Gun film in October 2022, with Liam Neeson attached to lead. It's long been in development but now that more information is finally being released, including much more of the cast, that will surely hold fans over until it releases next year. It's likely more casting news will be announced in the coming months as well as a set plot, since it's still unknown exactly what the film will be about. If it's anything like the previous movies, however, the wait will surely be worth it.

Having Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in a film together will definitely be interesting but entertaining nonetheless. There's no telling how the Naked Gun film will turn out since it is a reboot, but it has taken a while for it to get off the ground, so that might be a good sign that they've been taking great care of the script and making sure it was great. There's no way of knowing how it turns out until it actually releases, so fans will just have to wait until July 18, 2025 when it comes out in theaters.
