Taylor Frankie Paul Responds to Layla Taylor’s Comments on Their Friendship

The fallout between Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars continues to capture public attention, as Taylor Frankie Paul has officially weighed in on recent comments made by her former co-star, Layla Taylor. The tension between the two reality television personalities has become a focal point for fans following months of ongoing controversy surrounding the cast.

In a recent interview with E! News, Layla Taylor addressed the status of her relationship with Paul, suggesting that their bond is likely beyond repair. When asked if there was a path forward for their friendship, Taylor was candid, stating, "No. I think for me personally, the behaviors in her relationship were hard to watch, and then she started to be hateful towards me and my friends and say some really hurtful things." Despite the clear rift, Taylor maintained a diplomatic stance, adding, "I wish her well, but I think, personally, for me and my mental health, I need to take a step back."

Taylor Frankie Paul did not remain silent for long. Following the circulation of the interview, she took to the comment section of a TikTok post summarizing the conversation to offer her own perspective. "I wonder if she knows she can [talk] about other things too?" Paul wrote. "Then again, it was the only clip of her talking that made headlines... can’t blame her."

This public exchange follows Paul’s recent announcement that she is departing the hit Hulu series. In an Instagram post dated September 21, Paul expressed her frustrations with the environment on the show, citing a "collective pile on" from her castmates and ongoing personal struggles. "Some of the girls know what I've been through and then turn and collectively pile on with their 'statements,' knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months, on top of what I've endured," she wrote. "Almost the entire cast, plus some, going at me.... laughing about my kids is disgusting."

Paul concluded her departure announcement by stating, "It's a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue." Currently, the reality star is navigating a separate, high-stakes legal battle with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, regarding the custody of their two-year-old son, Ever.
