Album notches country’s third biggest debut-week album sales of 2019
Country music superstar Blake Shelton ended 2019 with style, collecting a No. 1 album debut and sealing the decade with a pair of raucous television performances on NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly. Fully Loaded: God’s Country is currently holding the top spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart, and upon release it became Shelton’s seventh leader on the Top Country Albums chart as well as his 12th Top 10 on the all-genre Billboard 200. He celebrated on stage – taking both the album’s title track and his Trace Adkins duet “Hell Right” to NBC’s New Year’s Eve 2020.
Reigning top country sales album Fully Loaded: God’s Country also cements the title of third biggest debut-week sales total for a country album of the year. The GRAMMY-nominated, 2x Platinum hit “God’s Country” was a multi-week No. 1 at country radio and earned the CMA Award for Single of The Year. Fully Loaded features four brand new songs including “Nobody But You” (Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Tommy Lee James), a duet with Gwen Stefani, which claimed the top position on the iTunes songs chart upon release and immediately shot to Top 10 of the Hot Country Songs chart.
Shelton, who recently performed “Hell Right” on The Voice alongside Trace Adkins and sparked controversy by saying “Merry Christmas” following the track, is gearing up for season 18. He is also readying himself for more than a month on the road: his Friends and Heroes 2020 Tour begins Thursday, February 13th in Portland, OR. Special guest Lauren Alaina will join him on the 16-date run in addition to appearances by The Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins. The tour will hit major cities throughout the Midwest and West Coast, including a stop at The Forum in Los Angeles.
