The London nightlife scene recently saw the conclusion of the first season for Ironworks, a significant new addition to the city's electronic music infrastructure. Situated along the Thames, the 7,000-capacity indoor space successfully hosted five major events throughout October and November, recording a total attendance of approximately 35,000 guests.
A collaborative project between LWE and the placemaking firm PROJEKT, the venue was designed to integrate industrial aesthetics with high-end audiovisual technology. By working alongside local community groups, independent businesses, and various creative collectives, the organizers aimed to establish a space that feels rooted in the local landscape while serving as a premier destination for large-scale electronic performances.
The debut run featured a diverse lineup of international talent, including performances by Eric Prydz, Charlotte de Witte, Jamie Jones, CamelPhat, Groove Armada, and Egyptian Lover. By providing a mid-sized, high-capacity environment, Ironworks has effectively addressed a gap in the capital's venue landscape for major electronic music productions. Below is a collection of images capturing the atmosphere and scale of the inaugural season.
