Argentine artist Sebastián Castellano has officially expanded his discography, teaming up with the Madrid-based imprint Last Cat On Earth for his latest release, Futuro. This new project highlights the producer's versatility, blending elements of deep and progressive house across a collection that includes two original compositions alongside a fresh remix.
Last Cat On Earth is spearheaded by industry figures Jacob Cabrera and Iván Smoka. The label serves as a platform for their shared creative vision, which frequently manifests through their collaborative project, Thaddeus X. This duo draws heavily from their respective histories in the worlds of techno, house, and progressive electronic music.
On the new EP, the title track Futuro showcases Castellano’s ability to craft driving, progressive-leaning soundscapes. In contrast, the second original track, Everything We Do, leans into a more atmospheric and introspective production style. The release is rounded out by a reinterpretation of Everything We Do from Thaddeus X, where Cabrera and Smoka apply their signature collaborative touch to the original arrangement.
