Nu-metal titans Papa Roach are set to make a high-octane return to the world of Devil May Cry. The band has confirmed that their brand new track, 'See U In Hell', will feature on the soundtrack for the second season of the hit Netflix animated adaptation.
The collaboration, which features rapper Hanumankind, is scheduled for release on May 7. This latest contribution continues the series' tradition of leaning into a heavy, nu-metal-inspired sonic landscape. The second season of the show, based on the iconic fantasy video game franchise, is slated to premiere on the streaming platform on May 12.
The series, helmed by creator Adi Shankar, has previously utilized the genre to define its aesthetic. The first season famously featured Limp Bizkit’s classic 'Rollin'' as its theme song, while Papa Roach’s signature hit 'Last Resort' was used to soundtrack the launch trailer. Additionally, Evanescence contributed an original track titled 'Afterlife' to the series.
Explaining the creative direction behind the music, Shankar previously noted: “My universe is set in a late ’90s/early 2000s PS2 era of the world. It’s not set in modern times. It’s set in my memory of the world, pre- and post-9/11. My music choices reflect this.”

Beyond their work for the screen, Papa Roach are preparing for the release of a new studio album later this year. The band has already unveiled three singles from the upcoming record: 'Even If It Kills Me', 'Wake Up Calling', and 'Braindead'. Vocalist Jacoby Shaddix recently spoke to the press about the band's desire to push creative boundaries, noting that while they remain a rock band at their core, they are eager to explore new sounds and celebrate the current resurgence of the nu-metal era through heavier, riff-driven compositions.
In addition to their new music, the band has confirmed a major UK and Ireland arena tour scheduled for November.
