Hoobastank Cancels Brazil 2026 Tour Due to Rising Logistical Costs

LIS SINATRA

The 2000s rock band Hoobastank has been forced to cancel its Brazil 2026 tour, marking a disappointing turn of events for fans who had been waiting over a decade for the group’s return to the country. The decision to scrap the tour, which was set to feature six dates across various cities, was attributed to rising logistical costs that made the venture financially unfeasible.

In an official statement shared on Instagram, the band expressed their deep regret regarding the cancellation. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be canceling our Brazil 2026 Tour,” the post read. “We were very excited to return to Brazil after many years, but unfortunately, rising logistical costs have made it impossible for us to make this tour work at this time. We hope to arrange another tour in the near future.”

The band members took a personal tone when addressing their Brazilian fanbase, acknowledging the frustration and disappointment the news would cause. “Brazil, we know this is not the news you wanted to hear and it’s definitely not the news we wanted to share. We are incredibly bummed and immensely sorry that this tour needs to be cancelled. We know some of you have made plans to see us that included travel. We did not take it lightly, how this decision will affect all of you.”

The tour was originally scheduled to commence on Nov. 1 at the Somos Rock Festival in Vila Velha, with subsequent stops planned in Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Campinas, and São Paulo. The run was slated to conclude on Nov. 8 at the Rock Festival in Nova Iguaçu. While the Brazil dates are off the table, Hoobastank confirmed they are still moving forward with their performance at Los Angeles’ The Roxy Theatre alongside Audiovent on Nov. 20, and they remain scheduled to join Staind and Seether for a North American tour in March 2027.
