Rock giants Kings Of Leon have officially released their serene new single, "Cold Blue Dawn," alongside a visually striking music video created in partnership with The Weather Channel. This latest offering serves as a second preview of their highly anticipated upcoming album, O My Beloved, which is scheduled for release on November 6 via Love Tap Records.
The track follows the previously released tender single "My Whole World" and marks the band's 10th studio effort, arriving as the successor to their 2024 project, Can We Please Have Fun. With a bluesy, reflective sound, "Cold Blue Dawn" finds frontman Caleb Followill and his bandmates exploring themes of appreciation and the profound ways the natural world influences our personal experiences.

A Unique Visual Collaboration
The music video for "Cold Blue Dawn" stands out as a first-of-its-kind lyric video. By utilizing satellite imagery from NASA’s historic Landsat programme, the visuals map out the song's lyrics across breathtaking landscapes, including coastlines, mountain ranges, and rivers. This collaboration was born from a mutual admiration between the band and the network.
"My family was already die-hard Weather Channel followers," Caleb Followill explained. "We saw what they did with our song immediately and thought it was beautiful. We learned they were making music a larger part of what they do and we reached out immediately to try and do something together."
Reflecting on 'O My Beloved'
The upcoming album, O My Beloved, is expected to be the band's most intimate and unguarded work to date. Comprising 13 tracks, the record focuses heavily on nostalgia and self-reflection. "I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here," Followill noted. "In the songs, there’s our families, stories from our childhood, things that maybe didn’t seem that significant at the time, but the way they find their way into these songs kind of lets me realise how impactful they really were in my life."
