Metallica have announced details of their 2024 Helping Hands benefit concert and auction with Jimmy Kimmel serving as the host.
Set to take place on Friday, December 13 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, the charity concert and auction will raise money for the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which focuses on workforce education, the fight against hunger, disaster relief, and other causes.
The band previously hosted a Helping Hands benefit concert back in 2022 which saw them raise $3million for the organisation. The likes of Robert Downey Jr, Tony Hawk, St. Vincent, Greta Van Fleet made appearances at the event.
“We’re psyched to announce we’re adding one more show to the calendar this year,” the band wrote in an Instagram post. “Our @allwithinmyhandsfoundation’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction returns to Los Angeles.” At the time of writing, the event’s line-up has yet to be revealed.
Ticket pre-sales for the event will begin tomorrow (July 24) at 10am PDT for Legacy members and at 12pm PDT for Fifth Members. Tickets for the event will go on general sale on Friday (July 26) 10am PDT. Visit here to purchase tickets.
100 per cent of ticket and auction proceeds will go to All Within My Hands – which has raised over $15 million for those in need including $8 million in grants for technical education programs and almost $4 million to combat food insecurity since it was formed in 2017.
