Legendary artist Rod Stewart has postponed a live show in the US at the last minute due to health issues. The 81-year-old musician was scheduled to perform at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sunday, August 9, as part of his ongoing 'One Last Time' North American tour.
Just hours before the venue doors were set to open, organizers released an official statement confirming the cancellation. "Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati has been postponed," the statement read. "Rescheduling is currently underway, with additional information to follow on Tuesday."
The announcement assured fans that all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date. "Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati," the message concluded.
This latest health-related disruption follows a series of challenges for the veteran performer. Earlier this summer, Stewart was forced to pause a concert in Utah to utilize an oxygen tank after nearly fainting on stage. Additionally, he previously faced public scrutiny after being spotted cheering for Scotland at a World Cup match shortly after canceling a California performance due to an acute upper respiratory infection and laryngitis.
Despite these setbacks, Stewart remains committed to his touring schedule. He is currently slated to perform in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday, August 11, with further dates scheduled throughout the month and into September, including his long-standing residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The 'One Last Time' tour follows his notable appearance at the Glastonbury Festival last year, as the star continues to navigate the final stages of his extensive live touring career.
