The first Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers live album in 13 years been announced: Live at the Fillmore (1997) is coming November 25 via Warner Records (pre-order). The album documents the final six shows of the band's 20-show run at the Fillmore in San Francisco--including covers, jams, and spoken interludes. The Fillmore felt like home to the band during their stay, so much so they were playfully nicknamed the "Fillmore House Band." Guitarist Mike Campbell, who curated and produced the album with Ryan Ulyate, notes:
Playing the Fillmore in 1997 for a month was one of my favorite experiences as a musician in my whole life. The band was on fire and we changed the set list every night. The room and the crowd was spiritual... AND... we got to play with some amazing guests. I will always remember those nights with joy and inspiration.
